thomas raver is an artist and designer based in new york city.

born in indiana, raver spent his childhood living between indiana, minnesota, and switzerland. experiencing different places and cultures from an early age helped shape his perspective and continues to influence the way he approaches his creative practice.

after graduating from high school, raver moved to new york city to attend the fashion institute of technology. he earned an associate in applied science degree in textile/surface design in 2024 before continuing his education in menswear fashion design, graduating with a second associate in applied science degree in 2026.

drawing from his background in textiles and fashion, raver's work explores materiality, construction, and the relationship between textile craft and contemporary design. his practice is driven by curiosity, experimentation, and an interest in how textiles can communicate through texture, form, and human feeling.
